It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of the extraordinarily talented poet Martha Silano.

Saturnalia Books is so proud to have published The Little Office of the Immaculate Conception, chosen by Bob Hicock for the Saturnalia Poetry Prize in 2010.

Saturnalia published her next two books, Reckless Lovely (2013) and Gravity Assist (2019), and will be releasing Last Train to Paradise: New & Selected Poems in October 2025.

Martha’s voice, so full of love and life, will continue to feed our souls for years to come.
